Set of four iconic Basket chairs, an icon of mid-century furniture design, designed by Italian-Swiss designer Gian Franco Legler in 1951. It was originally conceived for a restaurant in Italy called "The Basket." Thanks to its extraordinary minimalist elegance and functionality, it received the prestigious Good Design Award from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 1953. It features an ergonomic shell made entirely of hand-woven rattan/wicker, supported by a lightweight yet sturdy four-legged frame in black-painted metal. In addition to being suitable for both indoor and covered outdoor spaces, the chair is known for being easily stackable. This model has been produced over the years by important historic Italian companies in the sector, such as Pierantonio Bonacina.
