Set of 4 iconic Basket chairs, a Mid-Century furniture design icon in 1951. It was originally conceived to furnish a restaurant in Italy called “The Basket.” Thanks to its extraordinary minimalist elegance and functionality, it received the prestigious Good Design Award from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York in 1953. It features an ergonomic shell made entirely of hand-woven rattan, supported by a lightweight yet sturdy four-legged frame made of black-painted metal. In addition to being suitable for both indoor and covered outdoor settings, the chair is known for being easily stackable. Over the years, this model has been produced by leading historic Italian companies in the industry.
