peter kern studied sculpture under walter arnold and gerd jaeger at the dresden academy of fine arts from 1966 to 1971. Since then, he has worked in berlin as a freelance artist; until 1990, he was a member of the association of visual artists of the gdr. In the gdr, kern participated in several major national exhibitions and exhibitions abroad with sculptures and sculptural drawings, including the 8th through 10th art exhibitions of the gdr in dresden from 1977 to 1988. In 1981, he was among the ten prize winners at the 5th budapest small sculpture biennial.
kern’s sculptures are located in public spaces, particularly in berlin, and in public collections, such as those of the national gallery and the märkisches museum in berlin.
kern undertook study trips to belgium, italy, and iraq, among other places. This piece has an attribution mark,
