Striking vintage American bald eagle sculpture, believed to date to circa 1960s, depicting an eagle dramatically landing upon a naturalistic tree branch. The sculpture features beautifully modeled feather details, powerful talons, a curved beak, and an impressive asymmetrical wing position that gives the piece a strong sense of movement.
Substantial and exceptionally heavy, the sculpture has a rich golden-brown aged patina with darker variations throughout the recessed feather detailing.
The piece was acquired with the contents of an older Miami residence that included other vintage objects dating to approximately 1960. A highly similar example of this model has been catalogued by a dealer as an American brass eagle sculpture dating to circa the 1960s.
No visible artist, maker, or foundry signature has been located. Beautiful statement sculpture for a library, office, study, entryway, or sophisticated collected interior.
Presented in its existing vintage condition with naturally occurring patina and surface variation consistent with age.
