This antique pair of French 19th century gilded spelter sculptures represent the Roman gods Mars, god of war depicted in armor, and Minerva, the goddess of wisdom, the arts, and strategic warfare, who was often depicted with a spear. These figures are often found in pairs and were popular in late 18th and 19th century French art.
Height: 14” Base Width: 5”
Condition: Good. There are so small scratches to the back of the Mars sculpture and on the Minerva’s elbow and backside of the her tunic. Kindly review all photos.
