Vintage brutalist metal wall sculpture by Artisan House, produced in San Francisco in 1989. Curtis Jeré, a pseudonym for Artisan House founders Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, became synonymous with the company’s distinctive sculptural metalwork.
“Sunrise” comprises 15 rays of arced brass emanating from a central node. The design resembles a Japanese sensu (扇子) folding fan.
It remains in excellent original condition with a handful of surface-level imperfections depicted in the photo set.
