Vintage industrial steel storage cabinet manufactured by Steel-Parts Mfg. Co. of Chicago, Illinois. A substantial mid-century utility piece with a deep top-opening storage compartment, hinged lid, side handles, slender steel legs, and an open lower shelf.
The compact proportions and all-steel construction give it the character of vintage factory, workshop, institutional, or commercial equipment. Its original specific application is unknown, making it a versatile piece today as an industrial side table, storage cabinet, shop fixture, or distinctive functional accent.
Retains its original Steel-Parts Mfg. Co. Chicago maker's label and gray painted finish. The lid closes flush and the interior provides a surprisingly generous amount of storage.
