An exceptional early 20th-century Art Nouveau majolica pottery pedestal column manufactured by the historic Brush-McCoy Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio. Produced circa 1913–1915, this antique display stand features the company's famous "Irises with Pointy Leaves" motif (Style #2340). The columnar body is heavily embossed with large, elegant iris blossoms transitioning upward into long, fluid leafy stalks.
The piece features a beautiful, glossy blended glaze that smoothly transitions from a rich forest green at the base up into vibrant mustard yellow, warm amber, and golden-brown tones near the capital. Designed to support a matching floral jardinière or serve independently as a substantial plant plinth, this heavy earthenware piece captures the quintessential rustic craftsmanship of early American art pottery.
