This Antique Pastoral Landscape Oil Painting in Ornate Gold Frame, Original 19th Century River Scene with Cows, Vintage Fine Art Wall Decor is in good condition for age.
A stunning, original late 19th to early 20th-century oil painting on canvas, capturing a peaceful pastoral river scene.
Features beautifully detailed cows grazing along the riverbank with a historic country homestead or mill nestled in the distance
Painted with a moody, luminous color palette highlighted by soft pink and amber sunset clouds, reminiscent of the Hudson River School style.
Housed in its gorgeous, deep-set antique gold gesso frame featuring intricate scrollwork borders that add immediate character and presence to any wall (there is some chipping) see photos
The canvas displays fine, authentic craquelure (surface age lines) throughout the sky, proving its rich history and genuine antique age. It is canvas does show its age with surface dust and patina - it could be professional cleaned or left as is.
On the right hand side there is a rounded shape area that is white (some sort of damage) see photo
