This coffee table is made in Sweden in the 1960s, featuring a tubular metal frame and teak-covered tops. The main top is flanked by a removable side shelf, a solution designed to temporarily increase the tabletop surface while keeping the overall footprint compact. This type of furniture was originally intended for professional environments and was used as a projector table. In meeting rooms, offices, and schools, the main top housed the slide or film projector, while the removable shelf provided additional space for slide magazines, documents, or other accessories used during presentations. The wheels made it easy to move from one room to another, meeting the need for flexibility typical of office furniture of the time. The original AB Lindqvist Kontorsmöbler label, still present on the piece, documents its Swedish origins and its connection to the production of office furniture.
