A striking vintage Mariposa Brillante hand-hammered serving ladle featuring an expressive sculptural whale-tail design attributed to M.M. Evolução.
The beautiful hand-hammered finish is a defining feature of the piece, creating an irregular reflective surface across the deep bowl, elongated handle and sculptural whale-tail terminal.
The rounded ladle bowl transitions into a slender hammered handle that sweeps gracefully upward before terminating in a broad dimensional whale fluke. The combination of its organic profile and hand-worked surface gives this functional serving piece the presence of a small tabletop sculpture.

The M.M. Evolução attribution is based upon an identical example of this design bearing both the Mariposa Brillante marking and an M.M. Evolução signature. This particular example is not signed M.M. Evolução.
