The top rests securely on a sculptural four‑leg pedestal formed by a turned central column notched to hold four carved “boot‑style” legs. Each leg is accented with fan‑shaped decorative projections that rise toward the underside of the top, giving the piece a distinctive and charming profile.

This stand has been in the same family for approximately 70 years and was made around the same period as a companion Queen Anne/game table with similar marquetry inlay, suggesting workshop continuity and a shared design lineage. The mahogany retains a warm, even tone with its original finish intact. The piece was appraised in January 1990 and noted for its clean, stable condition. Two of the boot‑style legs show minor chip wear consistent with age, but the stand remains sturdy and visually appealing.
