Benjamin Franklin is depicted in traditional colonial dress with a black hat, red coat and white cravat. His expressive portrait is accented by a particularly delightful detail: a pair of dimensional metal wire spectacles resting across his face.

The oversized sculptural handle is fashioned in the form of a feather quill, a clever reference to Franklin's life as a writer, printer, statesman and Founding Father. Antiqued detailing along the feather, hair and clothing gives the piece wonderful depth and character.

Marked on the underside with the Lefton China crown backstamp and model number KW2525.
