Offering a distinctive circa 1940s–1950s ceramic advertising ashtray from Lamer Hotels, a historic Kansas hotel group with properties throughout the state. Substantial in form, the ashtray features a rich mottled green glaze, sculptural crescent silhouette, integrated cigarette rests, and raised cream-colored “LAMER HOTELS” lettering along the rim.
An especially appealing example of mid-century American hotel advertising ware, the piece bridges vintage hospitality memorabilia and decorative design. Its saturated glaze and wonderfully graphic form make it equally compelling displayed on a bar, cocktail table, or desk as a collectible object or catchall.
