this exceptional and fun lamp base is a wonderful example of scandinavian mid-century modern ceramics, distinguished by its charming voluptuous anthropomorphic form. The lamp subtly resembles a stylized female figure, with softly rounded contours that gives the piece a distinctive sculptural presence.

the lamp is finished in one of thomas hellström's most striking glazes. A rich, deep brown glaze with white details. The textured matte base has an almost burnt ochre like appearance, creating a sophisticated interplay between glossy and raw surfaces that feels remarkably contemporary.

both unusual, functional and highly decorative, the lamp possesses the qualities of a ceramic sculpture as much as a lighting object. Whether placed on a side table, console, or bedside, it serves as a striking focal point and complements interiors ranging from scandinavian and mid-century modern to contemporary spaces.
