Chromed metal diffuser with a globular silhouette, tapered neck, and white lacquered interior. Scandinavia, 1960s.
Pendant lamp made of chromed metal, featuring a single-piece diffuser with a soft, globular shape that tapers into a long, slightly flared neck. The mirror-polished exterior reflects the surrounding environment, while the white lacquered interior promotes even downward diffusion of light through the large lower opening. The balanced proportions and essential profile hark back to the formal exploration of 1960s Scandinavian design, which focused on the synthesis of functionality and pure lines. In terms of design language and silhouette, the lamp is reminiscent of the pendant lamps designed by Helge Zimdal for Falkenbergs Belysning, known for the organic, fluid forms that characterized Swedish design of the period. The suspension cable measures 140 cm.
Good condition. May show signs of aging, particularly light scratches on the chrome surface. Please pay attention to the photographs.
