This example differs from the more commonly found Les Arcs rectangular tables by its distinctive black lacquered steel base and slightly taller proportions, making it equally suitable as a dining table or spacious desk.

The solid laminated pine top has developed an exceptional honey-coloured patina that beautifully enhances the natural grain and knots of the wood. As often seen on large solid pine tops of this age, the tabletop has developed a very slight longitudeinal bow, visible when viewed from the side but not affecting stability or everyday use.

The black steel base retains its original finish with honest signs of age. One of the six original metal glides is height-adjustable, allowing the table to be precisely levelled on uneven floors.
