Crafted using the traditional steam-bending method from solid beechwood, these chairs exhibit an outstanding lightness of form combined with timeless architectural lines. The highlights of this pair are the beautifully structured slatted openwork backrests and the highly detailed, original pressed/embossed graphic patterns on the plywood seats. The chairs are in their authentic, untouched original state as found. Both frames are structurally sound, firm, and physically stable with tight joints. They retain their original period shellac finish, displaying a beautiful warm patina and only minor, gentle signs of historical use that enhance their genuine antique character. The embossed patterns on the seats remain exceptionally well-preserved. See less
