The model is attributed to Friedel Wauer, one of the pioneers of Cocoon technology, which revolutionized lighting design in the mid-20th century.


The shade was crafted using the distinctive Cocoon technology—a metal frame was coated with a layer of resin, creating a lightweight, organic structure resembling a silkworm cocoon. When the light is turned on, the material beautifully diffuses the light, producing a warm and exceptionally atmospheric effect.
