A distinctive piece with maritime origins, directly inspired by British military furniture.
This magnificent nautical chest of drawers, dating from the 1960s-1980s, comprises two small drawers side-by-side in the upper section and four large, full-width drawers in the lower section. The mahogany veneer, in warm reddish-brown tones, reveals a silky grain with beautiful expressiveness.
The patinated brass fittings are the heart of this piece: oval ring handles set into rectangular screw-on plates, corner reinforcements bolted to the corners—all characteristic details of the English "campaign furniture" style, both functional and elegant.
Light wear consistent with its age: a few marks on the wood and a golden-green patina on the handles, evidence of a well-lived life.
