it depicts a wonderful nautical seaport urban landscape scene of rows of ships with the horizon far in the distance and seagulls flying in the sky.
a beautiful colorful print on board ,with clear brush strokes in expressionist style with beautiful shades of oranges and yellows with a few pops of contrasting color.
comes with original wood frame and it has a burgundy red velvet trim around the frame , ready to be mounted on the wall, it has a metal wire on the back.
in excellent vintage condition, no flaws to mention, only minor age appropriate wear to the frame.


Harry Winkler, born 11/9/1923 in Leipzig Germany . Spent his childhood in Leipzig. First he studied at the Akademie fur Bildende Kunst (art school) , Dresden. This was followed by studies in Danzig with Prof. Pfuhle. After 1946 he had free studies in Munich and took educational journeys to the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, Switzerland, France, Northern Africa as well as to Turkey and the Orient. His paintings are in many well-known German and foreign galleries and in art collections. See less
