A striking large-scale abstract oil on canvas by R. A. Olson, dated 1972. Measuring an impressive 82" x 80", the work features gestural passages of charcoal, umber and mineral blue layered over a luminous ground of blush, cream and muted ochre. Expressive brushwork, washes and drips create depth and movement while maintaining a beautifully restrained, atmospheric quality.
Presented in a custom vintage modern gilt-wood frame, this monumental work makes a sophisticated statement in modern, contemporary or collected interiors.
