The lamp perfectly embodies the understated sophistication that characterizes Caccia Dominioni’s work for Azucena, the celebrated Milanese design company founded in 1947. Its composition is reduced to a few beautifully balanced elements: a slender suspension stem, finely shaped brass fittings and a generously proportioned bell-shaped diffuser in white Murano lattimo glass.

The large hand-blown opaline glass shade has a soft, sculptural profile, gently narrowing toward the upper brass collar. When illuminated, the lattimo glass produces a warm and pleasantly diffused light, while the brass elements introduce a discreet decorative accent and underline the distinctly Italian character of the piece.

Particularly attractive is the contrast between the almost architectural simplicity of the long suspension and the voluptuous shape of the glass diffuser. The upper ceiling canopy echoes the metallic detailing of the lower section and gives the lamp a harmonious visual balance from ceiling to shade.

with an overall drop of approximately 150 cm and a substantial 40 cm diameter diffuser, the pendant has an important architectural presence and is especially suitable above a dining table, in an entrance hall, a living room or as a focal point in a sophisticated contemporary interior.
