The glass is molded and faceted to mimic the cellular cross-section of fossilized Favosites (honeycomb coral) or Agatized coral, showing distinctive porous center patterns bounded by vein-like matrix lines. The tan, cream, and warm ochre/brown banding replicates natural silica replacements in agatized organic fossils. Miriam Haskell frequently imported specialty molded and hand-cut art glass from Japanese and Czech (Jablonec) glassmakers during the mid-20th century to simulate organic materials like fossilized coral. These earrings are dangle, and fully signed Mirriam Haskell on the inverse side. See less
