The rectangular top features a moulded edge with a striking inset gold-tooled green leather writing surface over two drawers to the frieze on each side. It is raised on four decorative octagonal turned legs terminating in brass caps and castors. Complete with working locks and keys. It is finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the middle of a room. The botanical name for the mahogany that this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation and does not contain any restricted materials. Condition: in excellent condition, having been beautifully cleaned, polished, waxed and releathered in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
