The mirror plate has a heavily antiqued, mottled patina, with dark oxidation spots across the glass that give the piece an aged, atmospheric quality characteristic of the Brutalist movement's embrace of raw, textured materiality. The frame's fluid, hand-worked form contrasts with the otherwise rigid rectangular mirror shape, typical of 1970s Brutalist design's move away from strict geometry toward organic, sculptural expression.
