Originally envisioned by George Washington Vanderbilt II in the late 1880s, the Vanderbilt Mansion with over 175,000 square feet became the largest private residence in America. His vision also included the conversion of 8000 acres of wilderness and swamps into one of the largest working farms in North Carolina. A vineyard was later added that produces award-winning wines. This culinary book includes beautiful colorful photography of not only the food produced by the diverse recipes, but also of the breath-taking grounds and gardens of the BILTMORE ESTATE. See less
