Victorian Missal Book Stand for your consideration. The stand measures approx. 12 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. Continental, second half 19th Century. Gothic Revival. Brass, triangular form. Filigree. Christian, Celtic cross motifs, daisy buttons and ruby cabochons on either side. Inscribed on face, "In memoriam Charles Samuel Stevens 24th April 1892". Decorative openwork on back depicting pinwheel motif in center, cartouche sprig designed corners, daisy buttons on sides with two clear cabochons in upper corners. Very good antique condition. Shows wear commensurate with age and use. Side support has come undone at bottom corner, sits slightly uneven. Not noticeable except under close examination. Natural aged patina. See photos. Displays sublime!
