Introducing an incredibly rare "poof" or "mushroom" foot stool designed with inspiration after Adrian Pearsall's iconic lounge chair and ottoman sets. Recently restored, this playful piece is constructed from a base of veneered black walnut intricately wrapped into a perfectly round base. The asymmetric, mushroom top seat cushion features new upholstery in a fabulous and kind to the touch boucle fabric by Knoll Fabrics. Even the foam has been changed out with medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity.
Ideal for collectors and designers alike, this piece can be paired well with a large catalogue of mid-century chairs like those designed the iconic Adrian Pearsall and Milo Baughman. This piece can also function as a stand-alone accent piece with the ability to blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from mid-century modern to postmodern to contemporary and everything in between. Featuring new bouclé by Knoll fabric the upholstery is in showroom condition. The cushion has been replaced with new medium density foam for maximum comfort and longevity. The veneered round base has been hand-sanded and refinished showing only minor signs of remaining wear such as light scratches and a minor ding (all shown in the detail photos provided). There are no other signs of wear present whatsoever. This architecturally fascinating ottoman is incredibly comfortable, structurally solid and ready for a literal lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration process.
