This hand-crafted piece features a highly … Read more An exceptional example of 1970s mid-century modern brutalist mixed-metal sculpture by artist Nick Stan. This hand-crafted piece features a highly detailed rustic watermill cabin intricately formed from individual torch-cut copper roof shingles and detailed structural sheeting. Alongside the cabin stands a gnarled bonsai-style tree beautifully constructed from twisted, heated, and brazed heavy-gauge copper wires culminating in a dense canopy of miniature stamped copper leaves. The entire sculpture is mounted on its original natural gray slate slab base, which prominently features the artist's authentic signature "Nick Stan" adjacent to the tree trunk. Displays a spectacular, deep heat-induced patina with contrasting amber, fiery orange, and darkened charcoal highlights. Excellent vintage condition. See less
