Charming handmade child’s quilt featuring Dutch dancers, toy soldiers, ducks, pigs, cottages, flowers, and stars appliquéd across a vivid blue ground. Dimensional button and bead details add wonderful folk art character. Likely dating to the 1930s or early 1940s based on the novelty appliqué motifs, cotton fabrics, hand-finished construction, and scalloped binding. Displays age-related fading, scattered marks, surface wear, and loose threads consistent with an heirloom textile of this age. It has not been washed and is offered in found condition.
