We are delighted to offer for sale this original circa 1810 French Empire Cheval mirror with gold gilt bronze candlestick … Read more We are delighted to offer for sale this original circa 1810 French Empire Cheval mirror with gold gilt bronze candlestick holders and fittings The mirror is in a luxury flamed mahogany veneer over oak frame. Supported on two columns surmounted with finely incised bronze urns, and with fine bronze rings at the base of the columns. Standing on arched legs with original brass castors and original mercury glass plate The mirror has had the frame dismantled, the joints reworked then glued and clamped, it's more solid now than it’s ever been. The veneer has distressed areas especially around the curved sections to the base on the outside edges. Dimensions: Height 176.5cm Width 107cm Depth 59.5cm. See less
