The table is made primarily of solid cherry wood, with chestnut legs. It features a four-plank top with softly rounded edges, a single drawer fitted with an iron ring pull, and a sturdy base joined by stretchers. The simple provincial construction and restrained detailing are characteristic of rural French furniture from this period.

Suitable as a dining table, kitchen table or work table, it comfortably seats four people.

The table is in good antique condition with normal age-related wear. The surface shows marks, scratches, small dents and areas of wear consistent with more than two centuries of use. Historic woodworm holes may be present, as is common with furniture of this age, but the table has been preventively treated and is structurally sound.
