This exquisite John Widdicomb butler's tray coffee table, designed by the legendary "Prince of Chintz" Mario Buatta, is a masterclass in high-end Chinese Chippendale and English Regency reproduction. The expansive rectangular top features a stunning, richly patinated dark mahogany burl finish, framed by a high gallery border showcasing intricate, open-work pierced vertical slat fretwork and polished brass corner hardware brackets. The lower apron is further embellished with a continuous carved blind-fretwork geometric band, evoking classic 18th-century design signatures. The table is supported by four robust, square legs carved to resemble stylized segments of faux bamboo, each detailed at the top block with fine lightwood inlay stringing.
