Description: Companion pair of elaborately carved Chinese jardinière or display stands, attributed to the Cantonese tradition and likely dating to the late Qing or early Republic period, circa 1890–1915. Probably constructed of hongmu or Chinese blackwood, with shaped pink variegated marble tops, pierced floral aprons, auspicious longevity medallions, carved animal-mask legs, claw-form feet, and circular lower shelves. The two stands share the same form but feature individually carved variations in their decorative motifs and symbols. Traditional fitted construction with chalk and incised workshop assembly marks visible underneath. Exact wood species and date have not been independently authenticated. Please review all photographs for condition. Sold as is.
