An exquisite pair of vintage mid-century Japanese Oshie-zaiku (padded textile relief patchwork) artworks, beautifully mounted on traditional gold-rimmed Shikishi boards. Each piece depicts a stylized, charming child dressed in traditional festival garments. The textiles used are ultra-premium, heavy-weave Nishijin brocade silk (西陣織), featuring intricate geometric and floral patterns glinting with metallic gold threading.
The left panel features a girl holding an auspicious scroll, and the right panel portrays a boy under a branch of ripe autumn persimmons. Both bear a matching stamped red artist seal (落款, Rakkan). The reverse side of the boards is decorated with an elegant silver-flecked pattern on a cream background. They remain securely housed in their original protective clear sleeves and are ready to be displayed as a diptych or custom-framed.
