Constructed from warm-toned wood with … Read more A rare circa-1960s professional dog-show transport kennel manufactured by Kroyer Crates of Mountainside, New Jersey.

Constructed from warm-toned wood with steel-bar ventilation panels, reinforced metal edging, protected corners and substantial commercial hardware. The hinged front door retains its original latch, safety chain and decorative hinges, while a heavy metal handle allows the kennel to be carried.

Most notably, the kennel retains both its original blue Kroyer Crates label and colorful Dog Handlers’ Guild, Inc. emblem. Founded in 1963, the Guild represented professional handlers responsible for conditioning, transporting and presenting show dogs. These surviving labels give the piece a particularly appealing connection to mid-century American dog-show history.

Presented in original, unrestored condition with authentic scratches, scuffs, finish loss, oxidation, discoloration and wear consistent with professional use and age. The door opens and closes, and the original hardware remains present. Please examine all photographs carefully.
