Made in Staffordshire England c. 1891-1910.
Approx. 1 ¾" High x 9 ½" Wide x 8" Deep.
Exceptional antique English transferware open vegetable serving dish (oval relish tray) in the timeless Chinoiserie "Blue Willow" pattern. This piece was manufactured in Staffordshire, England by the renowned pottery house William Adams & Co.
Dating & Authenticity:
The underside features the authentic printed blue ribbon back stamp reading "Warranted Staffordshire W.A. & Co. England." The inclusion of the word "England" without "Made in England" dates this specific piece precisely to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era, circa 1891–1910, following the enactment of the McKinley Tariff Act.
Excellent antique condition. This piece has been remarkably well-preserved for being over 115 years old. No chips, cracks, fleabites, or repairs. No crazing or dark glaze staining (very rare for ironstone/semi-china of this age). Glaze is clean, vibrant blue transfer print against a crisp, bright white background. Shows only very light, minor surface scratches on the bottom base consistent with gentle shelf wear and age. Normal wear from use and age.
