This item is a custom Postmodern cerused oak pedestal dining table with a thick glass top and a built-in lazy Susan, created by the luxury custom furniture design firm Lorin Marsh.
Founded in 1975 in New York City's historic D&D (Decoration and Design) Building, Lorin Marsh specialized in supplying high-end, custom-made furniture exclusively to the interior design trade. The handwritten inscription on the underside of the base—"Lorin Marsh P.O. 18442"—is the factory purchase order code, proving this was a bespoke order built specifically to an architect's or decorator's strict dimensions.
The table features a heavy, cylindrical pedestal base wrapped in white-washed or cerused oak veneer, supporting a thick, custom-cut round glass top. A matching chevron or starburst-patterned oak lazy Susan platform sits perfectly flush or slightly raised at the exact center. See less
