15 1/4 L x 6 3/4 W one-of-a-kind glass platter from artist Robin Kittleson, featuring an ombre orange color with … Read more 15 1/4 L x 6 3/4 W one-of-a-kind glass platter from artist Robin Kittleson, featuring an ombre orange color with blue and red dots throughout. The piece starts as a mass of molten glass pulled into long thin rods. The concentric circles are built from thin layers of color and snipped into bits and turned on end. Thousands of these cross sections are individually arranged on a kiln shelf and then fired to create the piece. The piece is then cold worked for a satin finish and fired again for the final shaping. I bought this directly from the artist herself (not mass produced). Lovely platter that can be displayed, or used functionally to hold fruit, etc. See less
