Antique Virginia Estate Walnut Queen Four-Poster Bed with Chippendale-Style Headboard
This exceptionally heavy Queen-size four-poster bed reflects late-19th-century American craftsmanship, with substantial solid-wood construction, thick wooden side rails, tall hand-turned posts, detailed spindle work, and a Chippendale-inspired open-pediment headboard. Small round brass or metal medallions on the lower footboard posts add distinctive period character. Believed to be walnut, the bed came from a Virginia family estate and has been preserved for generations. Exact age and maker are unknown.
