An exceptional set of four Model VS 231 dining chairs by Vamdrup Stolefabrik, crafted in Denmark during the 1960s and exemplifying the timeless sophistication of Scandinavian Modern design.
Beautifully constructed from richly figured solid rosewood, these chairs feature the iconic sculptural hourglass backrest, elegant button-tufted upholstery, and gracefully curved sled-style legs that have made this model increasingly sought after among collectors and interior designers alike.
The original woven upholstery remains remarkably well preserved, displaying a warm neutral palette accented with subtle woven earth-tone detailing that complements the depth and richness of the rosewood frames beautifully. Their generous proportions and ergonomic design provide exceptional comfort while maintaining the clean architectural lines characteristic of Danish furniture from this period.
Equally suited for formal dining, executive conference seating, or as statement accent chairs, these are versatile investment-quality pieces that blend effortlessly into both contemporary and period interiors.
This listing is for one matching set of four chairs. A second matching set is also available separately, allowing for a complete set of eight if desired.

The VS 231 is celebrated for its sculptural silhouette and refined joinery, representing the understated elegance that defines classic Danish Modern furniture. Its flowing rosewood frame and architectural sled base create a striking profile from every angle, while the gently curved backrest offers remarkable comfort for extended seating.
As demand for authentic Scandinavian Modern furniture continues to grow, complete matching sets of this caliber have become increasingly difficult to source, particularly in original condition.
