The bold design is attributed to Barbara Barry for McGuire. Each chair is constructed with rattan poles in a rich light tobacco-toned finish joined by rawhide leather ties. The frames are crafted with gracefully sweeping arms, a tall and gently flared back, and an elaborate exposed spindle back support structure. The chair is supported by rattan pole legs conjoined by stretchers. The distinctive chairs are finished with a later Central Asian-inspired upholstery in a bold Ikat print fabric having red, cream, and brown tones, accenting the frames and joinery. The chairs blend Organic Modern, California Coastal, and exotic Southeast Asian influences, suitable for a variety of interiors. The chairs have a desirable, lightly weathered and faded patina with excellent joinery and construction. Each chair has a McGuire plaque underneath the seat. Sold as a set of four.
