Fisher, a New York artist and Pratt Institute watercolor instructor for forty-one years, exhibited in National Academy of Design annuals 1904–1942, a member of the American Watercolor Society.
The sheet depicts a green glass pitcher and three large ruffled red blooms (dahlias) with yellow centers, two resting against a small book or box with a label and one upright in the foreground, set on a tabletop with soft reflections against a grey-washed ground. Signed lower right, "Anna S. Fisher." Fisher-Dicker estate provenance line, acquired via Winter Associates, Plainville, CT.
