Sliding closet door designed by Charlotte Perriand for the rooms of the Hôtel des Trois Arcs, Les Arcs 1600, circa 1969.
Made of solid pine, it consists of a series of vertical slats that create a rhythmic pattern across the surface and highlight the wood grain. The handle, cut directly into the panel, reflects the pursuit of simplicity and functionality characteristic of the designs Charlotte Perriand created for the resort.
Conceived as an integral part of the interior architecture, this door demonstrates Charlotte Perriand's meticulous attention to every detail of the built-in furniture, where construction, function, and material contribute to a unified whole.
Provenance: Hôtel des Trois Arcs, Les Arcs 1600.
