The piece features a tall wooden frame reinforced with riveted iron straps, a substantial metal loading plate and two original wheels. Its gently curved handles, exposed construction and utilitarian proportions reflect the honest industrial design of the period. The wood and metal surfaces retain a rich, authentic patina developed through decades of use, including scratches, marks, oxidation and variations in color.
