Mounted cutaway demonstration model illustrating the internal ratchet and locking mechanism of an American Handcuff Company handcuff. The working display features one half of a handcuff secured to an aluminum presentation panel with the outer side removed to expose the pawl, ratchet, and lock assembly. Accompanied by its original operating key, the model was likely produced for factory demonstrations, law enforcement training, sales presentations, or instructional use to explain the function of the company's restraint mechanisms.
