An exceptionally rare and sculptural British-made table lighter attributed to DuPont, dating to circa 1928. This striking Art Deco design features an elegant silver-plated chrome female nude figure poised gracefully beneath a polished spherical lighter, creating a bold and sophisticated statement synonymous with the glamour of the Jazz Age.
The beautifully stylised figure stands upon a sleek black Vitrolite glass base, its elongated, flowing form reflecting the modernist influences of the late 1920s. The highly polished chrome sphere conceals the lighter mechanism, seamlessly integrating functionality into an artistic sculptural form.
Combining exquisite craftsmanship with avant-garde Art Deco styling, this rare piece is equally suited as a collector’s item, decorative sculpture, or conversation piece. Examples of British-made DuPont lighters from this period are seldom encountered, making it a highly desirable addition to any serious Art Deco or tobacciana collection.
