This monumental anatomical atlas, comprising more than 300 finely executed lithographic plates, is regarded as one of the greatest achievements of nineteenth-century medical illustration. This suite is devoted to the anatomy of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. Together the three plates illustrate the complex osteology and ligamentous structures of the ankle joint, tarsal bones, metatarsals, phalanges, tibia, fibula, and the articulations that provide stability and movement to the human foot. Rendered with extraordinary clarity and precision, these lithographs were intended as teaching tools for physicians and surgeons but today are equally admired for their refined artistic quality. Jules Germain Cloquet (1790–1883) was one of France's leading surgeons and among the earliest members elected to the Académie Nationale de Médecine. His Anatomie de l'Homme became one of the definitive anatomical references of its time, celebrated for combining scientific accuracy with exceptionally beautiful lithographic printing. The restrained monochrome palette, elegant compositions, and remarkable anatomical detail make this suite an outstanding decorative ensemble for medical practices, orthopedic clinics, physiotherapy offices, podiatry clinics, academic institutions, libraries, wellness spaces, and sophisticated contemporary interiors. This suite is offered unframed. Any framed photographs are for presentation purposes only and may not represent exact scale.
