This substantial piece features a striking blush pink interior layer expertly encased in a thick, crystal-clear outer layer using the traditional Sommerso technique. Suspended throughout the base and flowing elegantly up the walls is a heavy mist of shimmering gold flakes, created via the historic Aventurine (Avventurina) glassmaking process.

Width: Approximately 9.5 inches across, about 10” side to side at the widest point and approximately 2.75” high (dimensions are approximate due to the irregular shape)
Weight: A very heavy gather weighing 4 lbs, 4.5 oz

Shape: Biomorphic folded clam/shell design

Base: Features a textbook ground and polished indented pontil mark, showing fine, random micro-scratch shelf wear consistent with genuine mid-century age.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Free of chips, cracks, or flea bites.

Note: There is an authentic microscopic white "stone" furnace inclusion embedded inside the glass bowl from production, which acts as a wonderful birthmark of its handmade, old-world origin. Please look at the images. See less
