This stunning piece features classic Louis XVI Revival style centered by a classic flowing urn flanked by sweeping acanthus scrolls, rosettes and floral swags. It has a warm, golden brown painted finish/patina that mimics distressed gilt-bronze typically achieved by applying thin layers of colored shellac, wax or gesso over the raw white plaster. Acquired from a French antiques dealer, it features minor, age-appropriate chipping to the corners and some chipping to a few floral elements which were subtly toned to match the original antique patina.
